I read the tutorial 2-3 times. I watched online videos about how to play. I signed up for the bulletin board and read the stuff on there. Just takes too long to learn how to play it. Perhaps some sort of a beginners scenario that played through the basics of the game. The built-in introduction in which Hitler does the “teaching” is worthless. I used to play board games like this one and was excited about the prospect of this game but after spending many hours trying it was not worth the effort.

I really tried to play this game, but I found it just too complicated to enjoy. Maybe if a person was willing to spend full time on just this game, he might learn it well enough to enjoy, but for me it just isn’t worth the time required. I went through the tutorial, but found that it did not cover some of the basics….how to start combat, for example! I don’t want a game to be too simple. For example I love playing Civilization 5. But I gave up on this one. In addition, it takes FAR too long to load and get started. So for me, this was a waste of time and money.

The game crashed once just at the very beginning but since then no problems. The tutorial is infomative though i know that you learn from trail and error in this game. I havent really notice any other reals problems yet, though there is always a chance. Anyways, point is the game is good, not bugs that make it unplayable, and yeah. Have fun!

One of the best RTS game in my book did crash once at the begginning but it was fine after that i highly reccommend it

The game is similar to that on Windows. On the Mac mini with no problems. The only thing that upsets - this photo equipment on many models have identical photos that do not fit the model. Request to the developers - to set the correct picture of tanks, planes and guns, the game becomes much more interesting. Thx!

I enjoy this game. Unfortunately it crashes within an our of play :( The version under Windows (that exhibit a similar problem) can be fixed with a 64bit memory extension patch but this one? VPL is not replying ...

Download won’t even start. What is it with APP store???? Can you solve this? I don’t want to pay for something I am not even able to download... Help please!

Scrivo per dare un parere molto positivo a questo gioco. Nel mio MBAir 2011 gira senza problemi. Ho fatto diverse campagne con varie nazioni e le ho concluse correttamente. Un paio di crash senza conseguenze ‘letali’ in circostanze particolari (apparentemente legati a battaglie marine con distruzione totale di una flotta mentre cercavo di muovere il comandante già affondato…) che non inficiano la bontà complessiva del prodotto. Ho avuto accesso al supporto per altre questioni e mi hanno risposto correttamente e velocemente. Consiglio di provare a contattarli per risolvere i problemi che menzionate. I had a very pleasant experience with this product. I played many hours already (and I continues to do it) and it works just as expected. A couple of minor crashes (but I couldn’t reproduce the crash under same circumstances, so I assume it was a minor problem and not a consistent buggy behavior). I was in touch with the game support for some enquires and they responded correctly and very quick. I recommend it. (MacBookAir 2011 Mavericks) UPDATE: 1.1.3 I was in touch with Virtual Programming Support because the update 1.1.1 was crashing in game. After a fairly short wait they fixed all the problems with the present patch 1.1.3 and now it runs very smooth. I am very pleased of the professional service I received. Again, I advice users to contact support if they face specific problems because they will reply and help solving them. UPDATE:1.1.3 Son stato in contatto con il supporto di Virtual Programming perché l’ update 1.1.1 mandava in crash il gioco. Dopo una attesa relativamente breve hanno fissato il programma e portato alla versione 1.1.3 che gira in maniera molto fluida e solida. Consiglio a tutti gli utenti che hanno problemi di contattare il supporto perché rispondono sempre ed aiutano a risolverli.

This app has serious crashing problems. Crashes after 5 - 10 minutes no matter what I do to prevent it. I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro with 8 GB of RAM. Very frustrating!! I want my 34 dollars back. This game DOES NOT work as advertised.

Basically, when you start up the game it takes forever to load, then when you start playing it freeks out. I played my first game as austria and didnt even make it to the 2nd day. The graphics were acting up and it took me about 15 minutes to quit out of it because it froze my computer. Basically, if Steam supports this game on MAC, buy it there. But for the love of christ, dont buy it here.

The game only has a little problem when it is at its highest time setting other wise it works even better than the steam one.

MacBook Pro 15" 2013 Retina. Instead of Russian language - just English with prefix "FE". And after that - the game sticks all the time when you try to start a scenario. Developers, please fix it. Otherwise - outstanding strategy game.

Im a Huge World War 2 buff and I love the games based around them, none more then the WW2 RTS and this is the Grand daddy. I admit its Very Very complex at the start, especially since most RTS are either just Click and forget" (Risk Types) or action and fast paced (Company of heroes , total war) . This one is much more of the "Risk" Global domination then some of the other Action based RTS out there. I like both Types but with so many action RTS games out there , the slower pace is a wonderful way to learn tactics if you stick with it. Now The first thing I will say is that your going to have to spend at least 2-4 hours just failing at this game. Unless you can just soak up info from tutorials and The included strategy guide (A wonderful thing to include, have a printer or I pad with the SG in front of you) nothing is gonna click right away. I do wish there was a mode that really walked you through how the game worked ( Total War does a great Job of this with there "Advisors" and "Prolouge" Campaigns) but you really feel acomplished when you start mastering the game. Now the other thing about this game thats important to know is that you can control EVERYTHING ! Make Alliences, Research technology, change political idiologys, fix your economies, or wage covert war. All of this is at your fingertips. For a WW2 nut like me this is a chance to see what would have happened in all the questions us armchair generals ask ourselves . (how ever there is no way to activate a indiana Jones unit if you choose the USA, my guess is they didnt want the game to end in one turn) with all the attention to detail and depth there are some things im surprised by. while the Game does contain all the historical figures (Hitler, Patton, Stalin, Monty, etc) they dont use the swastika for germany (It surprising how much motivation it adds to defeat the Nazis when you see more of the map coverd by that infamous symbol) and they dont adress the holocaust. I understand this but its something the Germans did and I want to see what would happen if the CPU controlled germany does or does not commit to this deplorable policy. The great thing about this game is how it can be played as a game or a learning tool, and seeing how much the holocaust did or didnt play a part in germanys defeat would be eye opening . So there is my review, If you have hours and hours to play and learn, get this game, everyone is saying it crashes but i have not had one crash in the month that I have had it and played it a bunch. You will enjoy this game. Details of game are far better than the Rise and Decline of the Third Reich. With the addition to the pacific war front, this is hands down one of the best war games on the market. If your looking for a long playing game this is for you.

This app worked well and was a great game. Then, I upgraded my MacBook software to Yosemite, and now the app crashes approximately every 15 minutes. Game is now unplayable - beware.

I’ve had problems with this game crashing in the past. With the most recent updates, it appears that the game is much more stable. I haven’t had any issues thus far on my Macbook Pro. Awesomely fun game, thoroughly addictive, though it has a pretty steep learning curve so new players have to have some patience.

i dont get it. i upgrade to bug fix? and it totally destroys the whole game....wont open at all....fix it please....can someone answer why i paid 20 bucks a while back? and you still dont respond why it is not fixed? its funny. i have researched your games and ratings. i am not being gentle...you guys are lame and horrible. everytime you do an update...half the people say the same thing...it just crashes...fix it dudes...
